Avani Patel is a contemporary Indian American painter based in New York City. She holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA from the Tyler School of Arts at Temple University. Her paintings are inspired by Indian performance and various musical styles, which she interprets into a language of harmonious elements, and abstract figures. Her paintings have been exhibited in New York, Providence, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Chicago, Dubai, Panama, Portugal, and Mexico.
